Tara Hunt has over 18 years experience in market research and strategy on both client and agency side. Carlos Pacheco, CMO + Partner
Carlos Pacheco has over 15 years experience in marketing optimization, audience development, and paid media. He spent the first 10 years of his career agency side in a media strategy role, working with national brands such as Bell Media, General Motors, BMO, Honda Canada, and Boston Pizza.
Five years ago, he moved client-side, building the audience for Just For Laughs Gags online from 300k to 3.5M in just over a year. He also increased revenue on the YouTube channel alone from less than $100k/year to over $2M/year.
From there, he moved to Toronto and worked at Boat Rocker Media, building online audiences for various media properties such as Orphan Black, X Company, The Next Step, and Lost & Found.
At Truly Social, Carlos oversees all audience development strategy across the board.

Brian Amaral, Sr. Project Manager
In his nearly 15 year tenyer, Brian’s seen projects in all shapes and sizes - from full-scale product launches to complete rebrands of major National brands such as Cineplex entertainment and everything between. Brian’s career has seen him work on everything from national Telecommunications brands event based marketing for net new entertainment brands.
He’s established process in several marketing agencies and played a major role in the development and implementation process at the Pan Am Games in 2015.
As focused and a professionally certified Project Manager, Brian’s track record for leading clients the likes of Bell Canada, The Bank of Montreal, The Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games and Cineplex Entertainment through successful, on-budget, on-time projects while keeping a level head under pressure makes him the GO TO guy on any team.
Brian is a fan of the creative process, all process in fact. He’s 2 parts Project Manager, 1 part Mentor, 1 part Sarcastic Bad-ass and some part Poet. Is that too many parts? Who’s counting?
Amardeep (Ammo) Somal, Communications Assistant
Freshly imported from the UK, Ammo joined Truly Social in 2017 and is responsible for general administration, communications, in-house social, & The Daily Distraction (you’re welcome!) as our resident punslinger.
Ammo handles the team's administrative tasks and facilitated a full office move to our shiny new HQ. He has been honing his writing skills internally and is now making the transition to client work, assisting with HYP3R research.
Since graduating with a degree in English Literature & Creative Writing from Bath, United Kingdom, Ammo has managed communications for a wide variety of organizations, from video game festivals to insurance companies.

Nicole Pomeroy, Communications Manager
Nicole is a communications powerhouse who graduated from the Humber College Public Relations program. She can do it all - from research and planning, to content creation and optimization. Nicole leads the PWL Capital projects, including the production, post-production and optimization of 6 Youtube Series and 2 Podcasts, and she makes it look easy.

Maria Vassiliou, Communications Manager
Maria Vassiliou is a communications manager at Truly Social Inc. She has great experience with content - both social and multimedia. She is a graduate of OCAD with a Bachelor of Design (Major in Advertising). She's worked in PR as well as with many well-known videographers and photographers - and is a photographer herself.
On the social side, she's worked with The Sorry Girls, a very popular YouTube duo, on their social media strategy and content creation. She's also heavily involved in the arts in Toronto.

Kristine Squire, Communications Manager
Kristine is a recent graduate from Humber College's Media Communications program. She has experience working on PR, social media strategy and graphic design for non-profits that include a music festival and multi-sport event.
She loves food so much that she drives to Montreal a few times a year just to eat at some of her favourite restaurants. She also enjoys film, art and wine. If you ever need a wine recommendation she's your girl.
Hunter MacKinnon, Jr. Strategist
Hunter joined the team in 2017 as Content Editor, working on content, optimization, and assisting on C2 Montreal, C2 Melbourne, and Movin’On, as well as writing our Daily Distraction newsletter!
Since then, we have been pleased to bring her to the strategy team as a Junior Strategist in January of 2018, where she’s been sinking her teeth into production leadership on the PWL Capital YouTube and podcast series, and ideating with strategic insights on projects with HYP3R.
She has training in cultural theory and media from both Trent University and Southern Cross University, as well as experience running social content and engagement at e-commerce startups in both Peterborough, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec.
Hunter brings an enthusiasm for international pop culture and content creation in all forms to the TSI team. In her free time, she enjoys travel, noodles, and a good book.

Celestina Aleobua, Multimedia Coordinator
Celestina is our multi-talented "unicorn", well versed in design, photography, videography, post-production, graphics, writing, and social media planning.
With her broad skillset, she works primarily with PWL Capital on production, post-production, and optimizing their ever-growing YouTube series. She also works on the Canadian Real Estate Association's new blog, The Living Room as a Visual Editor, Project Coordinator, Writer, and Social Media Coordinator.
Apart from having her hands full at Truly Social, Celestina wears yet another hat as an independent filmmaker, with dreams of producing a feature film in the very near future.

Angie Liu, Multi-Media Coordinator
Angie is our Content Coordinator and supports Christian in expanding our video production team.
Angie is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, majoring in Communications and professional writing. She is currently pursuing a diploma in journalism from Sheridan College.
She tells us that she is addicted to her Twitter feed, and there's nothing she loves more than a good plate of Pad Thai. We can totally get behind her culinary decisions.
We love that Angie also brings some pretty kicka$$ editing skills to the team. When we were interviewing her, she told us she edits on Avid. Christian's exact quote was, "If you can edit on Avid, you can edit."

Alexander Appugliesi, Graphic Designer
Alexander is an experienced graphic designer and photographer based in downtown Toronto. He is a creative problem solver with experience across multiple digital and print platforms, and is enthusiastic about elevating brands through visual design. His role at Truly Social Inc. is to provide clients (C2 Melbourne, Hyper, Movin’On, and Reflector Entertainment) with new visual experiences through multiple digital platforms and interactions, as well as evolve the TSI brand further. His most recent accomplishment are completing a rebrand for Truly Social Inc., as well as a designing and painting an office mural with the TSI design team.
Alexander continues to look toward the future of design with a passion for layout and editorial design, photography, as well as branding projects. When he isn’t behind a screen stressing over file sizes or aspect ratios, he is most likely cooking, reading, freelancing, traveling, or taking pictures with his ever-growing camera collection.

AnnaMaria Vasco, Graphic Designer
AnnaMaria is creative in all senses of the word. At TSI, she has created the social brand and many custom illustrations for Living Room, the publication we create with the Canadian Real Estate Association. She also works with PWL Capital’s multiple YouTube series, supplying them with enhanced motion and still graphics. Truly Social’s new branding was inspired by the mural she co-designed and painted in the main boardroom of the TSI office.
AnnaMaria has professional training in music, fashion, and fine arts. Her previous clients include Air Canada, Wanderlust.ca, and Blossom Lounge. AnnaMaria is proud of her musical accomplishments as well as co-hosting a meet-up at SXSW’18.
She is currently working on a freelance fashion collection with Waterloo based designers Lifeline and album covers for LA based musicians Neffex. For fun, AnnaMaria likes to watch Ru Pauls Drag Race and plan out her future tattoos.
